The new Lansas
 Rupture Protected plugs have a built in relief valve that
will help prevent the plug from being over inflated due to
faulty gauges or operator error. Once the valve cracking
pressure is reached, the Lansas
relief valve will open relieving excess air pressure and
reset / reseal just below the required plug inflation
pressure.

If the gauge is reading incorrectly and you start to
over inflate the plug, the relief valve will crack
relieving any excess pressure from the plug and
preventing it from failing. |

Operator error will no longer cause your plug to fail due

When the relief valve cracks, it will relieve the excess
pressure in the plug but does not completely deflate
it allowing the plug to stay inflated and in place.
Unlike other manufacturer’s rupture protection

causing your test to fail or your back pressure to
be relieved, the Lansas Rupture Protection safeguards your plug without the mess! |

The Lansas RP relief valve is recessed mounted to prevent physical
damage when the plug is being transported or
installed. |

The Lansas RP Rubber Dirt Cover helps protect the relief valve against
the harsh work environment. Dirt and debris is kept
away from the valve. |

The Lansas RP relief valve is not a single use device and will relieve
over and over. Unlike other manufacturers who offer
a one time use solution and then require you to
purchase another unit. Our less costly RP relief
valve will protect your plug during many uses. |

The Lansas RP Rupture Protected plugs relieve once the plug is over
inflated by a maximum of 33% above the recommended
inflation pressure.
