I am visiting Cape town. I go to this coffee shop often.. and this guy who is kind of like a supervisor there asked me if I am paying any tip for the waitress. I know, here it is a custom to pay 10% of the bill. I just had a coffee there which was about 2$ and did not have any change when I payed the bill thought it was'nt a big deal as it was a very small amount anyway.
Now I keep thinking of this.. ruminating in my head.
This is not the first time though.. He also asked me for when I had lunch few weeks ago but then I was in the wrong, it was a big amount I should have paid, it's just that in england the tip is included in the price and I did not know as I have been here only like week.
I am quite embarrassed and offended I keep thinking that it was quite disrespectful of him to do that and more worried that I may look like some one that can be insulted or made fun of..
